The short version#
JesType keeps things small. It uses NVIDIA's Parakeet V3 models for 25 languages, plus Moonshine for streaming English, and pastes text into the field you're in. AI cleanup is optional and off by default.
Whisperer offers four offline engines, with Whisper Large V3 Turbo as the default. Hold Fn, speak, release, and the text is copied for you to paste with ⌘V. The $14.99 Pro purchase adds a meeting recorder that detects calls, records both sides and writes notes.
